Anybody else really, really excited for halloween? What are your costumes? I can tell you right now mine is not very interesting whatsoever. But I promise I really did try to complete two different, more awesome costumes and since I just couldn't find the missing pieces, I am being lame and wearing a mucho boring/predictable costume that's been worn a million times before, and probably better. Hopefully I'll have pictures afterwards!

Here's hoping our Halloweens are fantastic...and that our teeth don't rot as a result of the degree of fantasticness (not a word. I know.)

Fire (put it in the air)

Was only going to catch up on my blogging once I had an outfit post but i really could not resist sharing this.

This shoot is what makes me love the fantastical, whimsical, and downright creative world of fashion.

And I bow down to whoever styled this, picked the model, and the setting.

Hands-down my favorite shoot in a long time. Simple. Raw. Edgy.

Rain

 I have really been bumming around all weekend aka the nicest things i have worn=sweatpants and a tank.
Trust, you really would not give a crap about seeing that. But this week i will be forced to leave the house for more than just studying and will be required to look normal in public so...outfit posts :)

I love it when pictures aren't just pretty to look at, but inspire me in ways that ultra-glam, out-of-my-reach magazine photoshoots never could (although I still absolutely look forward to flipping through my cherished magazines).

What I wore

Real quick, real small outfit post. I know you can't see the whole thing...but I really mostly wanted to show you guys the scarf! and plus i was in a ridiculous rush (thank you 8 am class for ruining my life)

it's actually a pretty long scarf with little tiny fringes at the ends. andddd real quick here are my boots too








oversized men's sweater - H&M
metallic leopard scarf scarf and black boots - Winners (!!!).

my pants are plain black skinnies. no excitement there :)

I think either one of these necklaces would take a very boring outfit to new heights. Although to be frank, i don't even want to think about what the prices of these babies are.

Thanks for all the well wishes! I'm feeling a lot better although I probably took a step back in terms of regaining my voice because I went to the Mika concert last night....holy crap he KILLED IT. The guy has boundless energy, and it's infectious. Can you believe that at the beginning of the concert some girl behind me asked me to SIT DOWN??? Ugh. Everybody else was standing.

Bought some new stuff yesterday, slowly realizing that the majority of my wardrobe is gray and black....and I kinda like it. Also slowly starting to spend upwards of 100 on single items now that I make money...and i kinda like it. :) Can't wait to show you guys my sweet purchases.

Starting to want to spend money on good-quality jewllery too so i can keep it instead of having it turn copper or turn my finger purple. I have my eye on that crazy Yves st laurent ring that's sold out everywhere.

So I really had been planning on doing some outfit posts but then i got sick (think uber attractive sneezes, stuffy, red noses, and sexy sexy coughs) so i pretty much adopted a uniform of alternating pyjamas. Not very exciting. Trust.

I was planning on doing some MAJOR shopping today....you know what. I'm just gonna straight up do it and bring some daytime tylenol cold along with me (that stuff is what's keeping me going right now)

Enjoy the above pic of Adama Diallo....this whole shoot really was very beautiful and innovative but I am rushing out the door (gotta go to work) so no time to post it all.

Some of my most recent fashion week faves!
Of course i ADORED Alexander Mcqueen but his latest is already all over the blogosphere (DID YOU SEEEEE THOSE SHOES???) so i thought I would leave that collection out of my latest collage.
I liked Chloe but didn't looove it as much as past seasons...

And dear lord there's a ton of beige on the runways! Which i love but cannot wear due to my skin tone...sigh. Trust me I have already tried....it just looks like I caught an exotic virus.

I even wrote the designer on every pic this time....i'm getting better at this you guys!....however you can barely see the writing as I had to make the whole collage smaller to fit into my blog (why does this keep happening whenever I use picassa???). These are some of my faves from spring 2010 so far. So many great, creative looks. Viktor & Rolf really took imagination to a whole nother level, and I had such fun looking through their collection. The others are more along the lines of things I could actually wear :) I urge you to check out the full Sharon Wauchob collection; its really quite fantastic.

so between school and my job (which is tots wearing me out) I won't have that much time for blogging this week (midterm week). But we'll see what I can squeeze in!
